Kate Tipple is a member of the Litigation, Trials & Appeals and Environmental and Natural Resources Litigation practice groups at Parsons Behle & Latimer. Ms. Tipple concentrates her practice on civil litigation and environmental matters, with an emphasis on water law and environmental litigation.

Ms. Tipple received a J.D. from the University of Utah, graduating with high honors. During law school, Ms. Tipple served on the Utah Law Review Executive Board and was selected for the Pace National Environmental Law Moot Court team, winning Best Brief for Appellant. Ms. Tipple also received the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation Scholarship and was a legal intern with the U.S. Department of the Interior, Office of the Solicitor, in the Intermountain Regional Solicitor Office.

Before law school Ms. Tipple received a Master’s in Environmental Management from the Yale University School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, concentrating in water science, policy, and management. Ms. Tipple previously worked for the Utah Department of Environmental Quality and has several years of professional experience in water quality, land use planning, and environmental regulation at the state and municipal level. She was admitted to the Utah State Bar in 2015.
