Attorney Kimball Parker To Lead LawX at BYU Law School
June 19, 2017

Kimball Dean Parker, an associate in the firm’s Salt Lake City office, has been tapped to lead LawX, a legal design lab at BYU’s J. Reuben Clark Law School that will create products and other solutions addressing the pressing issues relating to access of legal services.

Each term, LawX will solve one legal issue that makes the law inaccessible in Utah.  The first LawX project – slated for fall 2017 – will focus on helping self-represented defendants answer a lawsuit.  The project will be directed at everyday people who do not understand how to respond to a lawsuit and might not have the resources to hire an attorney.  Kimball will work closely with the dean of BYU’s law school, D. Gordon Smith to implement and oversee this program.
