COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND PRO BONO WORK
Parsons Behle & Latimer has a longstanding and highly valued tradition of being actively engaged in our wider community. The firm supports dozens of nonprofit organizations through board service, mentoring, pro bono legal services, and significant financial contributions. Using their time, talents and resources, our lawyers are making a positive impact on the communities that have been such an important part of our success.
In addition to our annual support for United Way, we are the largest contributor to And Justice for All, a pro bono program that supports three legal agencies assisting low-income and disabled individuals, and is a major sponsor of the Pro Bono Initiative at S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah.
The following are just some of the other organizations and programs we are honored to support: American Heart Association, Ballet West, Fourth Street Clinic, Habitat for Humanity, Head Start, Idaho Shakespeare Festival, Rowland Hall, The McGillis School, The Road Home and UMOCA.
Our lawyers have been repeatedly recognized for their commitment to pro bono service, which we approach with the same dedication, expertise, and commitment as we do for our clients. Some of our recent pro bono projects include representing low-income individuals in adoptions, fair housing and discrimination cases, personal injury cases, property rights cases, fraud cases involving home equity skimming scams, and guardianship cases. Some of our lawyers have served as court-appointed defense counsel in capital cases.
