Biography

Chris Sorensen is an associate in the firm's Salt Lake City office. His practice includes federal, state, and local tax planning for individuals and entities; IRS, state and local tax appeals and litigation; and partnership, limited liability company, and corporate structuring and planning.

Before joining Parsons Behle & Latimer, Chris worked for several years as a consultant in Deloitte Tax LLP's National Multistate Tax practice and as an associate tax attorney at a prominent midwestern law firm. Chris also had several years of experience advising large energy companies with respect to their oil and gas operations, including leasing, title curative matters, and acquisition of leaseholds in the Utica and Marcellus shale formations. 

Chris spends his free time watching classic Hollywood movies and enjoying all the outdoor opportunities Utah has to offer.
