July 16, 2012

As part of the annual convention of the National Bar Association in Las Vegas, Nevada, the intellectual property section of the association sponsored multiple continuing legal education programs. The program focused on the recently enacted America Invents Act and was moderated by Kennedy Luvai and featured a distinguished panel comprising: Chief Judge James Smith of the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences; Ms. Jeanne Gills, vice-chair of Foley & Lardner, LLP's national intellectual property practice; and Mr. Wilson White, associate litigation counsel at Google, Inc. The National Bar Association is the oldest and largest bar association for African American attorneys and has over 20,000 members.
