Aaron Worthen
Aaron M. Worthen is a litigation and appellate attorney with experience on both sides of the bench.
Prior to joining Parsons Behle & Latimer’s litigation, trials and appeals practice group, Mr. Worthen spent two years in private practice at a Salt Lake law firm where he represented clients in complex legal matters, both in trial and appellate courts at the state and federal level. Mr. Worthen’s practice is focused on water, natural resources, environmental, and municipal matters that have also provided him experience with administrative agencies and municipal commissions.
Following law school, Mr. Worthen served as law clerk to three distinguished judges at three different levels of courts: the Honorable Dee Benson of the United States District Court for the District of Utah, Associate Chief Justice Thomas R. Lee of the Utah Supreme Court and the Honorable N. Randy Smith of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. During these clerkships, Mr. Worthen gained an invaluable understanding of the thought processes of judges in both trial and appellate courts and at the state and federal levels which he now leverages to the benefit of his clients.
During law school, Mr. Worthen served as the symposium editor of the Brigham Young University Law Review and won the school’s third-year legal writing competition.
