Andrew R. Alder is a member of the firm’s Litigation, Trials & Appeals practice group at Parsons Behle & Latimer. His practice is focused in healthcare law, including medical malpractice defense. He has extensive general civil litigation experience in a variety of areas, including local government and municipality law, civil rights actions brought under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, employment law, trademark infringement, premises liability and personal injury.

Prior to joining Parsons Behle & Latimer, Mr. Alder practiced for more than four years at an insurance defense law firm in the Commonwealth of Virginia. There, he regularly appeared in state and federal courts throughout Virginia, and tried many cases before judges and juries.

During law school, Mr. Alder served as the Production Editor of the George Mason Law Review and was selected as a Writing Fellow to teach the legal research and writing course to a section of first-year students. After law school, he served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Judges of the 17th Judicial Circuit of Virginia in Arlington, Virginia.
