Kimball Dean Parker is a litigator and an award-winning legal tech entrepreneur.

Kimball attended the University of Chicago Law School, where he was a published member of the Law Review.  After law school, Kimball worked at the trial firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan.  At Quinn Emanuel, Kimball helped try cases for tech and pharmaceutical companies, including a $20 million judgment for Spectranetics—a manufacturer of angioplasty balloon catheters.

While at Quinn Emanuel, Kimball founded CO/COUNSEL, a legal crowdsourcing website that visually maps the logic of the law (  The site is currently being used in law schools across the United States and United Kingdom.  For his efforts with CO/COUNSEL, Kimball received a Fastcase 50 Award, which honors “the law’s smartest, most courageous innovators, techies, visionaries, and leaders.”

Before law school, Kimball served as an advance representative for United States Secretary of Health and Human Services (and former Utah Governor) Michael Leavitt.  Kimball traveled with Secretary Leavitt to Singapore, Egypt, Cote d’Ivoire, Nicaragua, France, Costa Rica, and China twice, addressing topics such as avian flu, import safety, and HIV/AIDS.  Kimball also traveled domestically to plan trips addressing electronic medical records, the Indian Health Service, and Hurricanes Gustav and Ike.
