Lara Swensen is an attorney with Parsons Behle & Latimer in Salt Lake City. Her practice focuses on intellectual property and antitrust litigation. In particular, Ms. Swensen has extensive experience preparing and challenging expert witnesses in complex civil litigation. Her practice includes working closely with experts on a wide variety of cases, including biotech and software patents, antitrust class actions, trade secret issues, and other intellectual property disputes. Previously, she served as managing director of Wasatch Economics, a litigation and damages consulting firm. She is co-author of a treatise on intellectual property damages, and has taught several seminars on damages analysis and the expert witness’s role in complex civil litigation.

Ms. Swensen currently is General Counsel for Parsons Behle & Latimer. She also serves on the Utah Supreme Court’s Ethics & Disciplinary Committee, which reviews, investigates, and hears all informal complaints charging unethical or unprofessional conduct by attorneys.

Ms. Swensen graduated with honors from the University of Chicago Law School, where she was an active member of the Criminal Justice Project at the Mandel Legal Aid Clinic. She received her B.A. cum laude from Dartmouth College.
