Larry Stevens is a retired shareholder. He joined the Parsons Behle & Latimer Litigation practice group in 1973. For several years he acted as chair of the firm's Litigation practice group. Mr. Stevens acted as lead counsel in significant long-term coal contract litigation and a large overriding royalty lignite coal dispute that was litigated for a decade in North Dakota. Mr. Stevens represented clients in bank and credit union disputes as well as a large mineral processing company in litigation and environmental disputes. Recently, Mr. Stevens represented a large copper project as counsel in various matters.

Mr. Stevens has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America since 2001 in Commercial Litigation and Administrative Law.

Mr. Stevens graduated from the University of Utah College of Law in 1972 after which he clerked for Chief Judge David T. Lewis, United States Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit.


Mr. Stevens has chaired the Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme Court for several years. Currently Mr. Stevens is a Master of the Bench of the David K. Watkiss Sutherland Inn of Court II. In his career he has chaired Utah State Bar Committees and has been president of the Salt Lake County Bar Association and acted as president of the University of Utah College of Law Board of Trustees.

Mr. Stevens is recognized in Best Lawyers in America. He was named Best Lawyers' 2017 "Lawyer of the Year" for Administrative/Regulatory Law for Salt Lake City.
