Megan A. Olmstead
Megan advises clients on a variety of natural resources, energy and environmental matters. She is highly knowledgeable about natural resource regulatory and management processes including the Endangered Species and Migratory Bird Treaty Acts; NEPA; public land management; space law and the aerospace industry; and energy development.
She is experienced at drafting and analyzing legislation and regulations; conducting government investigations; planning congressional hearings and preparing witnesses; and advising clients about legal and political strategy. She prides herself on bringing her strong writing, negotiation and analytical skills to bear in her legal practice.
Megan’s prior experiences serving as counsel for the U.S. House Committee on Natural Resources, the Idaho Office of Energy and Mineral Resources and as appropriations counsel for a chairman of the U.S. House Committee on Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice and Science have granted her unique insight into the intersection of legislation, regulation and the law.
A proud westerner, Megan enjoys golfing, playing the piano and stargazing in the mountains.
