Thomas R. Barton
Tom Barton is an experienced commercial attorney who has litigated a wide variety of business disputes—including matters related to employment, corporate fights, tax, natural resources and real estate, contracts, homeowner disputes, and professional liability cases. He has tried cases in the state, federal and tax courts, administrative forums, and handled appeals. In addition, Mr. Barton has twice been appointed as a federal equity receiver in the United States District Court, District of Utah: once by Judge Dee Benson in Wing v. Buchanan, and more recently by Judge Robert Shelby in FTC v. Elite IT Partners, Inc. et al. Before joining Parsons Behle & Latimer in 2019, Mr. Barton practiced with two highly respected Salt Lake law firms.
