Tsutomu L. Johnson
Tomu Johnson is Of Counsel at Parsons Behle & Latimer and practices data privacy law. He guides customers through the maze of state, national, and international privacy laws by helping them develop privacy and data management programs. Leveraging principles from the NIST Privacy Framework, those programs evaluate clients’ current privacy maturity and create a roadmap for achieving future privacy goals.
Understanding that clients need predictability, Tomu provides cost-contained service offerings with flat fees.
He has helped clients create policies, procedures, and controls that comply with state, federal, and international privacy laws.
Tomu has handled data breach litigation, negotiated privacy and security matters in complex commercial contracts, and has helped clients through the incident response process.
Finally, he has helped clients gain Privacy Shield certification, sign cross-border data transfer agreements, and submit BCR-C and BCR-P applications.
