On Nov. 1, 2023, Parsons Behle & Latimer (Parsons) shareholder Gary E. Doctorman was honored as the recipient of the 2023 Community Builder Legacy Award by Salt Lake Neighborhood Housing Services dba as NeighborWorks Salt Lake’s (NWSL). Doctorman was chosen by NWSL’s professional staff and board of directors. Parsons congratulates Doctorman for this well-deserved recognition based on his ongoing support of NWSL in its vision of revitalizing neighborhoods in the Salt Lake valley through community preservation and collaboration.
NWSL stated that Doctorman is the chapter’s most tenured partner and community activist and was chosen for the award for strengthening the capacity of NWSL through his many decades of professional and community leadership and involvement, which has impacted the neighborhoods it serves. NWSL builds on the strengths of neighborhoods, creating opportunities through housing, resident leadership, and youth and economic development. It works in partnership with residents, government and businesses to build and sustain neighborhoods.

Doctorman has more than 40 years’ experience representing financial institutions, corporations and LLCs and is Parsons’ past real estate and finance practice team chairperson. He has dedicated years to mentoring up-and-coming attorneys within the firm to strengthen their practices and Parsons overall. In 2015, 2020 and 2021, Doctorman was listed as “The Best Banking and Finance Lawyer in Salt Lake City” by Best Lawyers. Parsons commends Doctorman for his service both within the firm and in the larger Salt Lake community.
