Norman Semanko, water law attorney and managing shareholder of the firm's Boise office, was featured in a recent article on water rights adjudication in northern Idaho published in the Bonner County Daily Bee.
Ongoing water rights adjudication across northern Idaho could have significant and far-reaching consequences for landowners, water users and communities, according to Semanko, who spoke at the Idaho Farm Bureau’s annual meeting on Dec. 3 at the Coeur d’Alene Resort in Idaho. Semanko explained that water rights are a form of real property tied to land ownership and are critical during times of water shortage, when older water rights are fulfilled before newer ones.
