Parsons Behle & Latimer (Parsons) is pleased to announce that Robert J. Couch has been appointed office managing shareholder of Parsons’ Idaho Falls office. In his new role, Couch will lead the firm’s Idaho Falls attorneys, building on the office’s momentum and reinforcing the firm’s presence in eastern Idaho.
Couch brings to this role a robust corporate and transactional practice. He represents companies of all sizes and focuses on business and corporate law—including business, commercial, and real estate transactions. His experience spans corporate governance, entity formation and organization, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, and commercial contracts.

In his community work, Couch previously served as chairman of the board of the Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce and has held multiple leadership roles in that organization. Couch began his career at a major international law firm in Chicago prior to joining Parsons.
Couch holds a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was a contributing editor on the Michigan Law Review and clerked for the Hon. N. Randy Smith of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He also earned dual B.S. degrees in Economics and in Law & Constitutional Studies from Utah State University, graduating cum laude.
