Abby Brown, a shareholder in the firm's Helena office, spoke at two water law-related webinars.
The first, titled "Montana Water Law 101," was held on Oct. 7. The second, "Adjudication, Permitting, and the District Court" was held on Oct. 14.
Brown addressed the fundamentals of Montana’s water rights system, including types of water rights, permitting, adjudication, priority dates and basic concepts of Montana water law within the court system. Webinar participants gained valuable understanding of how water Montana laws affect water users now and moving into the future.
These complimentary webinars were presented as part of a four-part series by the Montana Stockgrowers Association.
