Today, Parsons Behle & Latimer (Parsons), a preeminent law firm in the Intermountain West, was honored as the 2021 Pro Bono Politico law firm by the Utah State Bar at its Law Day celebration.
According to the Utah State Bar, the Pro Bono Publico Awards recognize those who have provided or enabled the direct provision of legal services, free of charge, for Utah’s most vulnerable citizens, including people living in poverty, individuals with disabilities, veterans, seniors, minorities, self-represented people and victims of domestic violence.
To qualify, the firm must have made such contributions primarily through organized pro bono programs, legal services programs (as defined by current federal poverty guidelines) or have worked with such organizations to improve the delivery of legal services to the poor.
Parsons’ attorney Brian P. Rothschild has been a major driver of Parsons’ pro bono initiatives, including attorney involvement and organizing pro bono efforts. “We thank Brian for his dedication and tenacity in ensuring that in 2021, Parsons Behle & Latimer stood out as a law firm that gave back the community in a measurable way.
