Parsons Behle & Latimer Attorneys Juliette P. White and Elena T. Vetter Named Two of Utah Business Magazine’s “30 Women to Watch”

Parsons Behle & Latimer (Parsons), one of the Intermountain West’s premiere law firms, congratulates shareholder, Board of Director member and Vice President Juliette P. White and new Parsons Behle & Latimer associate attorney Elena T. Vetter for being chosen as two of Utah’s “30 Women to Watch” by Utah Business Magazine. This highly-competitive award is given to women in Utah who lead the way in their respective fields, who are blazing trails and pulling other women up behind them.

Leading Utah litigator and Parsons’ litigation practice team Chairperson Julianne P. Blanch says, “I am proud to call Juliette my friend and colleague. She somehow juggles family, pro bono work, leadership as a member of the firm’s board, extraordinary service to our clients and maintaining her reputation as an outstanding litigator. She is truly someone to watch and someone to admire.”

Not only has White been a leader at Parsons since shortly after leaving law school, she is also a fierce community advocate for Utahans with disabilities and has created profound changes in their rights to live a fuller life. White successfully litigated a matter for the Disability Law Center, representing three individuals pro bono in Christensen v. Miner. The successful outcome of that matter improved the rights of disabled Utahans by changing state law to allow them access to care while living in their own homes and enabling them to be mainstreamed to a larger extent, including work and social experiences. White is an attorney on Parsons’ intellectual property litigation practice team.

Vetter recently joined Parsons as an associate attorney on Parsons’ litigation team and specifically focuses her practice representing employers in complex employment law litigation matters; antitrust and competition matters; First Amendment law; and intellectual property disputes. Also an advocate for access to justice, Vetter served as director of the Street Law Legal Clinic while in law school at the University of Utah. Prior to joining Parsons, Vetter was an attorney at Jones Waldo Holbrook & McDonough.

Parson shareholder Michael Patrick O’Brien says, “Elena is a joy to work with as well as a smart and skilled employment attorney. She adds indisputable value on any case or in any client relationship with which she is involved.”

Parsons congratulates both White and Vetter for this well-earned honor and thanks them for their contributions to the firm, to the legal industry and for their commitment to providing access to justice in the community.
