With a theme of “Together we ride as one,” Parsons Behle & Latimer (Parsons) celebrated and enriched its inter-office and inter-personal connections during its 2024 United Way fundraising campaign while raising more than $36,400 for local United Way chapters in which the firm has offices.

Parsons’ United Way campaign Chairperson Barbara Bagnasacco says, “With a Western twist that acknowledged the firm’s strong presence in the Intermountain Region, this year’s campaign focused on celebrating the connection between the firm and the community; among Parsons’ team members and offices; and with clients. The firm is so appreciative of the participation and positive response of our team members and friends in the community. When I approached our contributors for in-kind donations for our live auction, held to benefit children and their families in need through our local chapters of United Way, many people outside the firm expressed surprise that a law firm would support charities in this committed and creative way, but Parsons has a long history of giving time and financial assistance not only to the United Way, but to a long list of charitable organizations in our 11 communities throughout the Intermountain Region. We take our responsibility to give back to our communities very seriously, and in this case, also with a playful spirit. Leading this charitable campaign has a deep personal meaning for me, particularly being able to facilitate gathering hundreds of professionals for such a good cause – this is in itself a message of hope!”

This year, team members contributed to a multi-week, multi-activity campaign, beginning with employee donations for a Farmer’s Market, including fresh produce and baked goods. The following week was action packed with activities that included a wellness competition in which associates could pay a registration fee to compete that was donated; a live auction – fortuitously held on Election Day which provided an excellent platform for a bipartisan stand up monolog from one of Parsons’ shareholders; an engaging line-dancing competition won by Parsons’ Rexburg office (yes, attorneys can dance!); and a Western-attire dress day. Employee response was overwhelmingly positive, and offices and colleagues said they grew closer during the process.

Parsons particularly wishes to thank its client donors and friend-of-the-firm donors: MBGP Italian Design and Freightlink Air & Sea International who donated their services for the live auction; The Inn on the Creek in Jackson, Wyoming; as well as Parsons’ team members for their generous donations. Among Parsons’ offices, we are proud to report that the Salt Lake City office was the top donor followed by its Park City and Boise offices, respectively.
