Parsons Behle & Latimer has expanded its area of expertise in the direct sales and multi-level marketing industry with the addition of Leslie A. Gallacher to the firm. Gallacher joins the corporate transactions and securities group from her previous position as general counsel for a large, Utah direct sales company and will practice from Parsons’ Lehi and Salt Lake City offices. She specializes in domestic and international compliance and has worked extensively with the Federal Drug Administration, Federal Trade Commission and state attorneys general on inquiries, investigations and litigation. She has advised companies on global anti-corruption and Federal Corrupt Practices Act compliance as well as internal investigations and self-reporting strategies.

Previously, her experience in the multi-level marketing area included the oversight and enforcement of corporate governance, global distributor policy and procedures, trademark protection, intellectual property strategy, labor and employment law, vendor and licensing agreements and litigation management as well as the direction of charitable partnerships.

Gallacher possesses extensive skills in operations and business development and has advised on international mergers and acquisitions as well as established international banking relationships, corporate structures and tax strategies – experience that Parsons’ corporate transactions Department Chair Nora Pincus says will strengthen Parsons’ accomplished corporate practice group.
