Parsons Behle & Latimer is pleased to announce the addition of Lauren M. Hunt and Adam D. Ott to its Salt Lake office. Hunt joins Parsons as of counsel and will primarily practice in the litigation, trials and appeals department. Ott is Parsons’ newest associate and is mainly focused in the corporate transactions and securities and intellectual properties practice areas.

Prior to joining Parsons, Hunt worked for more than five years as a prosecuting attorney with the Utah County Attorney’s office where she prosecuted misdemeanors and felonies including thefts, assaults, DUIs and homicides. She specialized in prosecuting sex crimes and was a member of the Special Victims Unit. Hunt says that coming from a background as a sex crimes prosecutor, she was attracted to Parsons by the additional time and resources she could dedicate to these important cases. “I was intrigued by the potential preventative power the cases I will work on may have to change policy and make a far-reaching difference. I hope their outcomes will give some victims additional options for empowerment and recovery outside of the criminal justice system.”

Ott brings to Parsons substantial experience from a boutique transactions and securities firm where he represented private companies in the areas of asset sales and purchases; corporate governance; capital formation; IP portfolio management; business reorganizations; acquisitions; and licensing arrangements. “I’m very excited to be joining the Parsons team. This firm has some of the brightest and most dynamic attorneys in the region, if not the country. As a young attorney, the opportunity to work with and learn from such a gifted team of transactional lawyers was one I simply could not pass up. The wealth of experience and resources found at Parsons creates an incredible value for clients, and I look forward to making those resources available to current and future clients,” says Ott.

The addition of these attorneys continues a steady pattern of growth for Parsons over the past two years. A regional firm, Parsons draws on resources from its attorneys in Utah, Idaho, Nevada and Montana to offer clients a deep bench of resources and experience.
