Biography

David Bird is a shareholder in Parsons Behle & Latimer’s Government Relations and Lobbying practice group where he serves as co-chair. Mr. Bird is involved in building coalitions, representing trade and professional associations, and lobbying for the interests of individual clients. He has been involved with a broad range of legislative issues for over 40 years. 

Mr. Bird is a member of the Utah Mining Association Executive Committee. He is the chair of the Utah Manufacturers Legislative Committee and is the former chair of the Legislative Action Committee of the Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and of the Utah State Bar Legislative Affairs Committee. Mr. Bird is a past president of the Utah State Bar and served as the Bar representative on the Utah Judicial Conduct Commission and the Utah State Judicial Council. He taught environmental law at Brigham Young University.
