Jason R. Mau is a member of the firm’s litigation, environmental and natural resources, employment, and real estate practice teams. His practice is primarily in real estate, commercial and employment litigation in federal and state courts. He is also involved in the transactional work for his clients in these areas.

Biography
Jason represents a variety of clients, including buyers, sellers and lenders in large and small real estate transactions, mining companies, investors, national banks and corporations as well as local professionals, business owners, not-for-profit entities and individuals. He has experience in cases before the District Court of the United States and State of Idaho and has served on several appeals before the Idaho Supreme Court. He also has experience before various federal and state agencies.
Prior to attending law school, Jason worked for a preeminent title insurance company in Southwest Colorado for 10 years. His extensive experience with transactions and complex legal descriptions has provided him with a unique perspective for his natural resources and real estate practice, developing a specialized expertise with mining claim title opinions.
Jason is a volunteer with the Idaho Volunteer Lawyers Program (IVLP), participating regularly in the Veterans and Nonprofit/Business Startup Clinics sponsored by the IVLP. Jason has had the great opportunity to work with the Salvation Army throughout his professional career and is currently the chairperson of the Boise Corps Advisory Board, overseeing various counseling and benevolence services and ministries. Jason also serves as a member of the Quaker Hill Camp and Conference Board of Directors and has served on the YMCA’s Program Advisory Committee for the Y Healthy Living Center and the Idaho Nonprofit Center board of directors.
