Lauren M. Hunt is part of Parsons Behle & Latimer’s Sexual Assault Litigation team. This practice team focuses on representation of survivors of sexual assault and other forms of abuse, including Title IX claims, in federal and state courts. 



Lauren M. Hunt is a member of Parsons Behle & Latimer’s litigation, trials and appeals practice team. Prior to joining Parsons, Lauren worked for more than five years as a prosecuting attorney with the Utah County Attorney’s Office. She was admitted to practice in Utah in 2013.

During her time at the Utah County Attorney’s Office, Lauren prosecuted misdemeanors and felonies including thefts, assaults, DUI’s and homicides, but she specialized in prosecuting sex crimes and was a member of Utah County Attorney’s Office Special Victims Unit. Lauren has represented clients in 20 cases through jury trial.


$500K Settlement Obtained for Client in Lawsuit Pertaining to Mishandling of Reported Sexual Assault

Obtained a settlement of $500,000 in a lawsuit filed against Utah State University over the school's mishandling of the client's reported sexual assault. 

Secured Jury Verdict in Breach of Contract and Title IX Lawsuit - 1.7M in Damages Awarded

Representing a client in a lawsuit filed in federal court against Southwestern Oregon Community College on breach of contract and Title IX claims, Parsons’ attorneys secured a jury verdict on the breach of contract charge, resulting in an award of $1.7M in damages. The client was subject to harassment and discrimination, resulting in her discontinuing the pursuit of a nursing degree after she had disclosed previous employment experience in the adult entertainment industry.
