Helping Clients to Understand Complicated Health Care Laws

The attorneys who focus on health care issues add depth and additional insight to Parsons Behle & Latimer’s traditional employment practice.

Many of the compliance and litigation issues companies face are related to an employer's role in providing health care coverage. This role became increasingly complex with the implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, and now with the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Securities Act (CARES) Employers are becoming increasingly involved in reducing health care costs by implementing wellness programs and high-deductible insurance plans. Laws like HIPAA’s privacy provisions, which are not typically conceived as employment related, impact employers that obtain medical information through health care plans.
