Assisting Companies with all Managed Care Matters

We help our clients to understand and comply with complicated managed care laws and regulations.

Managed care continues to expand as employers, federal and state governments, and insurance companies try to contain costs while maintaining quality of and access to health care services. With the passage and implementation of the Patient Protections and Affordable Care Act (“PPACA”), volumes of new laws and regulations will impose new requirements on health plans and managed care organizations and will create a new array of entities known as accountable care organizations (ACOs).

Parsons Behle & Latimer continues to represent managed care companies and to assist them with the daunting labyrinth of laws and regulations they face. The firm’s attorneys have represented insurers, HMOs, PPOs, TPAs, and PBMs as well as health care providers that must respond to and comply with requirements of managed care organizations. Among other areas, we provide advice about compliance with Medicaid, Medicare (including Part D), state insurance regulations, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), subrogation claims, and illegal remuneration laws.
