Robert Engar works in the Litigation practice team at Parsons Behle & Latimer, where he focuses on banking, finance and mortgage law. He is an experienced litigator, having successfully argued numerous motions and obtained jury verdicts in his clients’ favor. He has also assisted high wealth individuals and businesses in tax audits and litigation. He has experience assisting local counsel in litigated matters throughout the United States.

Mr. Engar graduated magna cum laude from the University of Utah in 2002 with an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and a minor in Spanish. He graduated from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School in 2006, where he was an Executive Editor and board member for the Journal of Public Law. He also represented the law school at a national Negotiation Competition.

(Utah App. 2012) (4th Amendment argument to suppress evidence.  The case was eventually heard by the U.S Supreme Court, Utah v. Strieff (579 U.S. ___, 136 S. Ct. 2056) (2016)).
