Pat Neville, an associate in Parsons Behle & Latimer’s Salt Lake City office, joined KPCW’s Mountain Money podcast on Aug. 17 to address the Paramount Skydance/Warner Bros. Discovery antitrust case.
Paramount Skydance’s proposed acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery would merge two major Hollywood studios, combining extensive cable, streaming and entertainment properties. The U.S. Department of Justice did not challenge the deal, but 12 state attorneys general are suing to block the merger, arguing that it would harm competition. Neville details the legal battle in the podcast, including how courts may define product markets for movies, theatrical releases and cable programming.
