Parsons Behle & Latimer is pleased to sponsor “So Ready for Laughter: The Legacy of Bob Hope,” which opened at the Idaho State Museum on Sat., Oct. 7, 2023. Other exhibit sponsors include The Foundation for Idaho History, the Bob & Dolores Hope Foundation and local sponsor George Juetten. Parsons Behle & Latimer attorney Garrett Kitamura, who serves on the Board of Directors of The Foundation for Idaho History, says, "As with any effective historical exhibit, ‘So Ready for Laughter’ provides us an opportunity to hear a crucial story from our past. Whether we grew up seeing Bob Hope on television or are learning about him for the first time through this exhibit, we are given the opportunity to engage and reflect on Mr. Hope’s legacy of service.”
According to an Idaho State Historical Society press release, the exhibit, which is on loan from the National WWII Museum in New Orleans, tells the story of Hope's place in World War II history and beyond and features multimedia elements and storytelling, including artifacts, Hope’s correspondence, films, rare photographs and an interactive display. Mr. Kitamura added, “As an attorney at Parsons Behle & Latimer, I'm proud of the firm’s support in bringing this exhibit to Boise."
The Idaho State Historical Society goes on to say that “‘So Ready for Laughter: The Legacy of Bob Hope’ shares his belief that laughter is a great elixir and that finding joy in what you do can uplift others,” the press release said. “The exhibition is rooted in Hope’s values and contributions from his wartime service flying the globe to his postwar career keeping America smiling.”
The exhibit will be available until April 7.
