Scott Hansen is a shareholder on Parsons Behle & Latimer’s Litigation team and advises clients in a variety of litigation and commercial transaction matters. Scott’s representation has involved mortgage-servicing litigation, regulatory inquiries, antitrust matters, qui tam actions, commercial contract disputes, premises liability actions, real estate title disputes, trade secret and anti-solicitation actions, product liability and franchising litigation. Scott also has experience in negotiating, drafting and executing commercial documents, including service, licensing, and vendor agreements.
From 2016 to 2021, Scott was a partner at Stoel Rives, LLP in Salt Lake before joining Parsons Behle & Latimer. Scott previously served as chief litigation counsel with Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc. (SPS) from 2013 to 2016 and was senior counsel with SPS from 2011 through 2012. Scott was an associate at Dart Adamson & Donovan LLP from 2010 through 2011, an associate with Stoel Rives from 2006 to 2010, a litigation associate with Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP from 22002 to 2006, a litigation associate with Piper Marbury Rudnick & Wolfe LLP from 2001 to 2002 and a summer associate with Piper Marbury Rudnick & Wolfe LLP during the summer of 2000. Prior to graduating from Georgetown Universtity, Scott was an Honors Paralegal with the Federal Trade Commission from 1998 to 2001.
