Adam Ott is an associate in the firm, practicing in all aspects of corporate law, securities law, business transactions, business litigation, regulatory compliance, intellectual property law and government investigations. Adam has experience representing clients in a wide range of business matters, including asset sales and purchases, corporate governance and fiduciary matters, business and capital formation, fund creation and management, IP portfolio management, business reorganizations, acquisitions, licensing arrangements and a variety of other general transactional matters. Adam has also successfully represented clients in a variety of business disputes and litigation matters, obtaining favorable results for clients ranging from multinational corporations to individuals.  

Prior to joining the firm, Adam practiced at a boutique transaction and securities law firm where he gained substantial experience in the legal representation of young, private companies. Adam completed a nine-month Honors Program placement with the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Enforcement, located in Salt Lake City. He has also previously worked as a law clerk for the Senate Judiciary Committee in Washington D.C. and, during law school, as an extern for Judge David Sam at the Federal District Court for the District of Utah.

Adam received both his graduate and undergraduate degrees from Brigham Young University, where he was one of few students ever invited to attend law school while simultaneously finishing his undergraduate studies. While attending law school, Adam contributed to several works of legal scholarship, including several publications with Oxford University Press. Adam was also initiated into the international legal honor society Phi Delta Phi and received the J. Reuben Clark Public Interest Service Award in recognition of his pro bono efforts throughout the course of law school.
