Matthew Van Wagoner is a member of the firm’s corporate group where he routinely advises business organizations along with equity owners in various corporate matters, including acquisitions, sales, financings, business formation and planning, restructurings, key commercial business agreements and other related outside counsel matters.

Prior to returning to the firm, Matthew practiced at Kirkland & Ellis where his practice focused on representing private equity sponsors and public and private company clients in complex business transactions including, acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, restructuring events and related general corporate counseling.

Matthew graduated from the University of Utah College of Law and also received his M.B.A. from the David Eccles School of Business. As a college academic all-American in golf, Matthew has maintained a connection to sports. Before joining Parsons Behle & Latimer, Matthew helped develop guidelines for the Utah High School Activities Association.

Matthew strives to be his clients’ partner by navigating the complexities of corporate law and providing guidance that aligns with each of their overarching business strategy.
