Bill Gray is a former shareholder and currently of counsel in the Real Estate team. Bill knows corporate law and has served as general counsel for a former client. His practice focuses on real estate transactions and he particularly enjoys providing practical legal solutions for small and medium size businesses.

Biography

Bill rejoined the firm in 2016 after a 16-year absence and is of counsel in the real estate department. Bill advises clients in a broad range of real estate and general corporate matters including acquisitions and dispositions, contracts, land development, financing and leasing transactions and boundary issues.

Before rejoining the firm, Bill was general counsel for a technology start up and oversaw all legal matters and prepared all the company’s contracts and policies. Bill knows how outside counsel can be most helpful to general counsel and company management. He spent close to ten years in a smaller firm advising mostly small business clients and individuals on a wide range of legal matters.   

Bill received his law degree in 1991 from the University of Utah and a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1985.

Development and Sale of 459 Residences

Served as lead counsel in the entitlement, site development and sale of all development parcels of Park City Mountain Resort and Canyons Village, including Pendry Park City; Apex Park City; and YotelPAD – a combined 459 residences.

Redemption Transactions

Represented corporation in redemption transactions with two of its shareholders and directors.

Sale of Golf Course and Subdivision Ground Lease

Represented client in the sale of a golf course ground lease and surrounding subdivision.
