Parsons Behle & Latimer shareholder Paul Evans focuses his legal practice on helping businesses grow while protecting their key assets and partnerships. Now, Evans will bring those talents and years of experience to benefit local businesses as one of the newest board members of the Rexburg Chamber of Commerce.
Evans understands business with more than 30 years’ experience providing counsel in law firms and corporations, including corporate formation and organization, buying and selling businesses, employment matters, supply and distribution agreements, protecting businesses’ confidentiality, trade secrets, non-compete agreements and other methods of protecting businesses’ assets. He says he is honored and excited to serve on the board for a two-year term and looks forward to applying his experience and knowledge to support and advocate for local businesses in Rexburg City and surrounding areas.
“It’s important for business leaders to become involved with the Chamber, because the Chamber is very effective at supporting businesses and extending their reach for promoting their business,” says Evans. Examples include brand visibility for businesses through Ribbon Cutting events for new businesses, increased traffic on businesses’ social media pages and websites, networking opportunities with other members, advocacy through the Chamber’s government constituents both locally and statewide and educational opportunities through regular forum events.
Evans fully supports the purpose of the Chamber of Commerce as well as the numerous events and efforts for promoting local businesses. During his time on the board, Evans would like to see greater participation among local businesses and an increased focus on social media presence. “The benefit of the Chamber,” Evans says, “is increasing the visibility of your business and providing networking opportunities with other business leaders who can share valuable lessons learned for succeeding in this community. That to me is one of the greatest benefits the Chamber can give.” Learn more about Paul Evans here.
