Biography
Monica C. McCann is an associate attorney in Parsons Behle & Latimer’s Environmental and Natural Resources practice group. Ms. McCann’s practice encompasses a wide variety of issues including environmental, natural resources, energy, water rights and adjudication, and land use as well as specializations in administrative law, corporate law, and wildlife and animal law.
Ms. McCann received her Juris Doctorate with a Certificate in Environmental Law and Land Use from Georgia State University College of Law in May 2023. During her final year of law school, Ms. McCann interned with The Coca Cola Company in the Environmental, Safety, and Sustainability Division, working on a crossover of corporate law, food law and environmental law matters at Coca Cola headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. Ms. McCann worked one summer in animal law and property law matters with a boutique firm based in Denver, and most recently, in construction litigation and business law matters with an Atlanta based firm. Throughout law school, Ms. McCann held several philanthropic and student leadership positions as she consistently values and prioritizes community involvement and outreach.
Prior to law school, Ms. McCann received her Bachelor of Science in Biology, cum laude, with a minor in Natural Resources from the University of Alabama in May 2018. During her undergraduate career, Ms. McCann participated in wetlands ecology, animal physiology, and endocrinology research with The University of Alabama Department of Biological Sciences. Outside of her legal career, Ms. McCann enjoys hiking, tennis, landscape and nature photography and gardening.
