Parsons Behle & Latimer, a preeminent law firm in the Intermountain West, kicks off 2022 by enhancing the strength of its Intellectual Property (IP), Corporate, and Private Client and Estate Planning practice teams with the addition of two seasoned attorneys.

Paul Evans is the newest member of Parsons’ IP and corporate team while Scott P. Eskelson has joined Parsons’ corporate, private client and estate planning teams after closing his local practice Martin & Eskelson. Both attorneys join the firm as of counsel.

Parsons’ Idaho Falls Office Managing Shareholder Ed Cather says, “Parsons Behle & Latimer’s Idaho Falls office has experienced strong and steady growth over the past five years. We are extremely pleased and grateful to welcome Paul and Scott to our attorney bench and look forward to working and collaborating with these outstanding attorneys for years to come.”

Evans is an experienced intellectual property and corporate attorney who focuses his practice on helping clients identify, value, procure, monetize and enforce intellectual property protected assets. His experience as general counsel and head of intellectual property matters at multiple companies provides Parsons’ clients with a unique experience and perspective to accomplish sophisticated business and legal matters. He says, “I am thrilled to be with Parsons Behle & Latimer. The firm has a great reputation of having excellent and seasoned attorneys as well as being a great place to work. In addition to these great attributes, I chose Parsons because of the depth and breadth of attorneys with the expertise to assist clients in all aspects of the law beyond the services I can offer.”

Eskelson made the move to Parsons’ corporate, private client and estate planning teams from his local practice Martin & Eskelson following the death of his long-time friend and partner Stephen E. Martin. Eskelson says he chose to join Parsons to leverage the expertise and resources of a larger firm to serve clients while retaining the close-knit feel of a smaller firm in Idaho Falls. “My new association with Parsons Behle & Latimer will benefit my clients by providing a wide breadth of resources and expertise with attention to detail,” he says. Eskelson focuses his practice in estate planning and probate, large real estate and business transactional work.
