Biography

Michaela Thornton is a litigation associate attorney in Parsons’ Salt Lake City office. She represents clients in procurement and contract-related claims and investigations, as well as commercial and environmental litigation and regulatory matters.

Prior to joining Parsons, Michaela was a government contracts associate  in the Washington, D.C. office of a major global law firm where she served as a team subject matter expert in sustainability and state and local procurement. Michaela received her J.D. from the George Washington University Law School with a Concentration in Government Procurement Law. While in law school, she served as the editor-in-chief of the Public Contract Law Journal and received the 2022 Patricia A. Tobin Government Procurement Law Award. Prior to law school, Michaela worked as a client-facing engineer at a geospatial technology firm.

Michaela received a B.A. in Public Policy Studies with a minor in Earth and Ocean Sciences from Duke University.
