Parsons Behle & Latimer (Parsons), a preeminent regional law firm is pleased to welcome Haley B. Banks and Kaitlynn B. Morgan, to the firm’s Salt Lake City office. Their arrival further strengthens the firm’s litigation bench and reinforces its long-term commitment to serving clients locally, regionally and nationally. Parsons’ litigation practice is currently one of the largest and most deeply-experienced litigation practices in the Intermountain Region.
Banks joins the firm as an associate, focusing her practice on business and commercial litigation, employment litigation and civil rights matters, including Title VII and Title IX claims as well as appellate work. “I’m excited to grow my litigation practice with the leading attorneys in the Mountain West,” she says. Banks brings experience representing clients in complex disputes in state and federal courts nationwide. Banks previously clerked for the Honorable Tena Campbell of the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah and practiced as a litigation associate for international law firm Quinn Emanuel in New York after graduating from Harvard Law School. “Haley brings a highly professional, intelligent and trial-driven approach to litigation, along with a strong commitment to client service,” says Thomas R. Barton, co-chair of the firm’s litigation practice. “Her experience and perspective will be an asset to both our clients and our litigation practice.”
Morgan rejoins the firm as an associate in the litigation practice after having completed judicial clerkships with both the Utah Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah, experiences that provide a strong foundation for complex litigation work. Morgan says, “Parsons has a strong, people-first culture—both in how it represents its clients and how colleagues support one another. I’m excited to be back and look forward to the work ahead.” Morgan earned her law degree from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, where she graduated Order of the Coif and served as editor-in-chief of the Utah Law Review. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in finance, with a minor in German. “Kaitlynn is an exceptionally strong writer and legal analyst with a deep understanding of the judicial process,” says Liz Butler, co-chair of the litigation practice. “We’re excited to welcome her to the firm and look forward to the contributions she will make to our clients and our culture.”
The additions of Banks and Morgan reflect Parsons’ continued investment in talented attorneys who enhance the firm’s ability to deliver practical, high-quality legal solutions to our clients while supporting its steady growth in Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming.
