Each year since 2007, Nevada Business Magazine has compiled a list of attorneys in northern and southern Nevada in public and private sectors who are voted as top attorneys by their peers. In 2024, the publication vetted nearly 3,000 votes. According to the publication, each attorney that made the list not only had to receive enough votes to qualify, but also went through several levels of verification and scrutiny. When the nomination process closed, each ballot was reviewed for eligibility and every voting attorney was verified through the State Bar of Nevada. Once a vote was verified, each nominee was then scored based on the number and type of votes received. Within the last five years, Parsons’ Reno office has experienced substantial growth, increasing practice areas and specialization in response to client needs.

Nikkel is the currently the managing shareholder of Parsons’ Reno office. She guides mining and energy clients exploring and operating on public lands through the nation’s complex environmental laws, from project conception to permitting and potential appeal. Nikkel’s mining clients are some of the largest in North America.

Kealy previously held the Nevada office managing shareholder position for many years. He possesses decades of experience as a litigation and trial attorney, practicing primarily in the areas of commercial litigation, business torts, natural resource and real estate litigation. Kealy also counsels businesses and individuals in structuring agreements and negotiating solutions to complex disputes.

Tract focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, complex contract drafting and negotiation, start-ups and business formation, and corporate governance. She practices primarily within Parson’s corporate transactions and natural resources practice groups, and advises clients locally, nationally and internationally in the mining and natural resources sectors.
