Parsons Behle & Latimer (Parsons) is pleased to announce the opening of its 11th regional office with its expansion into St. George, Utah. Parsons’ St. George attorneys are joined by five new attorneys from the St. George law firm of Gallian Welker to form its new office. Matthew D. Ekins and Michael I. Welker join the firm as shareholders, and Russell J. Gallian, Brian Eggleston and Tyson Raymond join as of counsel. The addition of these five outstanding attorneys enhances the range of legal services available to our combined clients throughout the St. George and Washington County areas.

Parsons’ St. George attorneys offer deep experience in the areas of banking and finance; business bankruptcy and restructuring; corporate/M&A; commercial litigation; construction law; employment and labor; estate planning; divorce and family law; plaintiffs personal injury; real estate; and tax law. With Parsons’ multidisciplinary approach to legal service delivery, St. George attorneys can leverage an unparalleled depth of legal knowledge and experience from attorneys across Parsons’ Intermountain Region offices in Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Wyoming and Utah.

“A key component to joining Parsons is having culture and people in each firm so well aligned,” says Ekins, who is the St. George office managing shareholder. “Our foundation with good, genuine people is vital to a legal practice with integrity and excellence. Bringing Parsons’ broad and deep experience to the St. George area, a significant Utah legal market, adds more services and better legal representation for Southern Utah business. This change will continue Gallian Welker’s tradition of building long standing, significant relationships with clients and local communities.”

Founded in 1882, Parsons has grown from its inception as a mining and natural resources law firm to a full-service firm with more than 200 attorneys in the Intermountain Region. For the past approximately seven years, Parsons has pursued a path of strategic growth in response to its expanding client base, opening new offices in Utah, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming.

“The attorneys who join us from Gallian Welker represent some of the finest legal talent in Southern Utah,” says Parsons’ CEO and Chairperson Shawn C. Ferrin. “We could not be happier to welcome these new attorneys to Parsons. With our combined experience and shared commitment to excellent client service, integrity and dedication to our people, the addition of our new colleagues is a natural fit.”
